Some families are eligible to claim free school meals for their son/daughter. Please find more information about free school meals below.

Eligibility (Taken from Brighton and Hove Council)

From 6 April 2011, children whose parents receive one of the following benefits will be entitled to receive free school meals:

Children who receive any of the above benefits in their own right are also eligible to receive free school meals

Please note - if you are in receipt of any Working Tax Credit you will not be eligible to apply for free school meals

How to Apply

If you believe you meet the above criteria, you can apply for free school meals by contacting Brighton & Hove Council via their website:
lease note- the school cannot process free school meals applications, so you will have to apply directly the council. Once we receive notification from the council, we will contact you to confirm that your son/daughter has been set up for free meals at King's. 

Free School Meals at King's

The free school meals allowance for students at King's is £2.25 per day. This is credited to a student's cashless catering account, and can be used at breakfast club, break or lunch time. Please note that funds do not carry over from day to day, and that purchases over this amount will be charged to the student's cashless catering account.
